Hello,

Is there another way to say this :

.يلعب بلعبةِ الطائرةِ
Here الطائرةِ is idafa.

He plays with the toy plane. In french we would say, l'avion "en" jouet

Thank you for your help.

Amel

  • Where did you find that? I would not understand it to mean “toy plane.” It sounds like “airplane game.”

I might say يلعب بالطائرة اللعبة.

    Or Volleyball.
I might say يلعب بالطائرة اللعبة.
Or just يلعب بالطائرة, while technically it could mean a real airplane, but the context should clear it up, if he’s not in an airplane he can’t possibly be playing in it, and it’s very unlikely that he would be playing with a real airplane.

    Or Volleyball.
Are you sure that لعبة الطائرة, as opposed to لعبة كرة الطائرة, can be used to refer to volleyball? I just googled لعبة الطائرة and didn't find any evidence of that.

It’s كرة الطائرة of course, but in colloquial sometimes we omit كرة same goes to basketball and table tennis. Interestingly, the most commonly played is football but I’ve never hear it referred to as قدم, it’s always either كرة القدم or just كرة or طابة or something of the sort. 😁

It is a sentence which i thought was correct.
If i have well understood it is false.
It's يلعب بالطائرة or .يلعب بالطائرة اللعبة

    What is اللعبة grammatically ?

    Thank you !

I would say يلعبُ بطائرةٍ لعبةٍ, which is similar to what I would say in my dialect (يلعب بطيّارة لعبة).
