    Hola a todos...

    Tenía entendido que "To heave" era un verbo irregular.
    ¿La frase original de crispulo también se podría expresar asi:
    He HOVE HIMSELF to his feet and headed for the TV?

    I would say that "heave" meaning 'pull/haul' or 'lift/move' is usually regular but that "heave to" as a nautical term is usually irregular.

    Try a search for "we hove to in" to find more examples (and also the set phrase "hove into view").
