Hello everyone!

Could anyone, please, explain to me what the difference is between the two sentences?

1) My father is always glued to the TV. I can't stand it!
2) My father is always BEING glued to the TV. I can't stand it!

What does it change between the "Progressive form" and the other one?

Thanks

G.
