Hieronymic oath

Senior Member
Please can anyone help me understand what is meant by "Hieronymic oath" in the following line taken from a book called "Translation Ethics" by Joseph Lambert:
"In this chapter, we begin by anchoring ourselves via a set of influential ideas from the contemporary context, employing Andrew Chesterman’s 2001 ‘Proposal for a Hieronymic Oath’ in particular to illustrate four key areas of focus in TIS ethical enquiry."
Thanks in advance.
