I'm working on a song called Games by Ryan Adams.

Can you help me with that, please?
    "You ain't but a telegram nobody's sendin'
    Nobody sends me but you
High and mellow, slow and steady
Out in the meadow with you "

    the lyrics : http://www.songmeanings.net/lyric.php?lid=3530822107858559799

    here's my try :
"euphorique et calme, doucement et fermement"

    Can you confirm, please?

    Thanks in advance

    Outside Paris
    English/lives France
    Garbonzia, we meet again!

I'm going to have to do this in English, it will take me too long to find the right words in French even to express the thing!

"Nobody sends me" - sends is ambiguous; right away it evokes being high or being in another kind of ecstasy. "High and mellow" -- of course, we could be talking about an agreable meadow that is high on an Alpine slope and where life is easy, or we could be talking about being high. "Slow and steady" - at this point, I think we're probably talking about something sexual, which the writer has now painted a very light picture of in four words, and which these two people are doing in the meadow.

    Maintenant, fais ça en français...
