Hindi-Urdu: to reach (as in to be able to touch, grab sth by stretching)

Hello,

The other day I needed to say "I can't reach the leaves; they're too high."

To my embarrassment, I think I said something ridiculous like "Main pattoN ko reach nahiN kar pa raha huN."

I looked it up on shabdkosh and it had haasil paana, but I'm not sure about "Main pattoN ko haasil nahiN pa rahaa huN." Does that sound right to you guys?

I looked it up on shabdkosh and it had haasil paana, but I'm not sure about "Main pattoN ko haasil nahiN pa rahaa huN." Does that sound right to you guys?

No. (However, حاصل | HaaSil could be used in a different sense of the word reach.)

मैं पत्तों तक पहुँच नहीं पा रहा।

I would like to add that "patte bahut uuNche haiN" can be said "patte bahut uupar haiN". And Alfaaz SaaHib has provided a variety of ways and idioms which are used in Urdu. Its surprising how many ways there are to say the same thing in another idiom. I wonder if other languages have this sort of elasticity and can say a thing in a numerous ways like Urdu can. Thanks for this. I'm wondering in which ways you can say it in Hindi expressions.
