When saying "his" and "her" and "their" in Portuguese do you use: o seu/os seus and a sua/as suas or dele/dela/deles/delas?
e.g. His books - os seus livros or os livros dele
Their dog - o seu cao or o cao deles
I always thought that it was the first option, though when I've been speaking with Brazilians they often use the "dele" forms and on occasion I have had to clarify myself when using the "seu" form (I assume because it implies that you are saying "your" as voce is used in Brazil)
How is the use of this in Portugal?
Thanks!
