Hello,

I'd like to know how to say the following sentence in Spanish: "He held the baby securely once it was delivered." The context is childbirth. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Here's my attempt:
"[Él] sujetó / cogió firmemente al recién nacido"
"Nada más nacer el bebé, él lo sujetó firmemente" (This one is far from being a literal translation but maybe conveys a little better the sense, as this act of holding securely the baby has presumably taken place right after the birth).

    Hope this helps.
    Regards

¿Firmemente?
