Hello, everyone:

Delicate Dreams: A Novel By Susanne Bacon (Google Book)
Well, then hold this plate with both hands and let me stack some of the steaks and bratwursts onto it. Don't hold it slanted. And hold on to it tightly.

Is it good to say "hold it slanted" here? I think hold it slanted = hold it at an angle

Thank you very much.

Yes, it does mean ' hold it at an angle', that's why the character said 'Don't hold it slanted'.

I would probably have said 'tilted', but 'slanted' is OK.
