    By "source", I mean where did this sentence come from?

    Did you see it in a book? - if so, which book?

    Did you see it on a website? - if so, which website?

    Did you hear it in a movie? - if so, which movie?

    Etc.

    I would assume the phrase refers to rough bicycle paths, which might make riders' wrists sore and rattle their teeth.
