"Come now, Harry, there's no need to be scared of getting into trouble. We all know you shouldn't really have entered at all. But don't worry about that. Our readers hove a rebel. "

This is what Rita Skeeter, a newspaper reporter, said to Harry.

What does 'hove a rebel' mean?

Any help would be appreciated.

    What's the source?

It's a misprint (or a scanning error) for "love" or perhaps "have". The lack of any background information in your post doesn't help to decide which it is likely to be.

The source is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

There is an age limit to enter the tournament, and he's ineligible.
But somehow Harry endded up entering the tournament even though he didn't apply.
