Hi All

Is the formal context-based phrase to greet someone ' How do you do? '' still used nowadays or has it been replaced by another?

I agree it is still used. But other things are considered acceptable even in fairly formal circumstances nowadays, such as:

    Pleased to meet you.
    Hello.
    Good morning/afternoon.

It's a matter of society having become a bit more relaxed rather than 'How do you do' being replaced.
