How emphatic is the negation?

Hi, everyone

In my view, the larger the sentence number below becomes, the more emphatic the negation becomes. Is my view correct?

1 Hardly a day goes by that the nuclear disaster in Fukushima isn't reported.
2 No day goes by that the nuclear disaster in Fukushima isn't reported.
3 Not a day goes by that the nuclear disaster in Fukushima isn't
reported.
4 Not a single day goes by that the nuclear disaster in Fukushima isn't reported.

Thanks in advance

I agree that 4 is the most emphatic. But I would put 2 as least emphatic. 1 and 3 are in my opinion equally emphatic, but only slightly more than 2. All four, however, are still strong statements, and the difference in emphasis doesn't really change the meaning.

Thank you very much, Tazzler, for giving me a clear picture of the differences between the sentences.
