How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

Greetings,

How do you say this in Turkish?

Please see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_many_angels_can_dance_on_the_head_of_a_pin?

Or: How many angels can dance on a pinhead?

The expression typifies a trite subject of discussion, particularly in contrast to matters of true importance.

In this case I'm looking for the literal translation. They say that the Byzantines discussed this a lot, but I don't know if this is true or not.

Best wishes, and many thanks,

Simon

I had never heard this saying before. I don't think I've quite understood it either.

But since you're asking for a litteral translation, here you are:

Kaç melek bir toplu iğne başında dans edebilir ki?

    Hi,
    I've found some citations:
"bir iğnenin ucunda kaç tane melek dans edebilir?"
"bir toplu iğnenin ucunda kaç melek dans eder?"
"Kaç melek dans edebilir, bir iğne üzerinde?"
interchangeably, all can be considered as a literal translation.
