how much/what mileage do you put on your car?

    There's no difference. You don't need to tell them apart.
    The ones beginning with 'What' are more natural in my opinion.
    I want to draw an analogy between money (dollars) and mileage (a number of miles) as both are uncountable nouns.

    "How much money do you have in your pocket" sounds OK.
    "What money do you have in your pocket" is awkward.

    For mileage, both what and how much are acceptable? (Excuse me for confirming this.):confused:
