how to address a person who is going to be a diplomat?

First of all, thanks for let me join this forum.

If I’m going to congratulate a group of people who are on the process of diplomat training program, how can I address them?

“Diplomats-to-be” or “future diplomats”

Thanks for the help.

    Hi charles_,
    If the atmosphere is formal then I recommend "ladies and gentlemen" as the initial greeting.
    If the occasion is informal or festive, however, then I think both "diplomats-to-be" and "future diplomats" are friendly and appropriate.
