Plase, What means "hug the hearth"?

Source: "She Is Overheard Singing" by Edna St. Vincent Millay

...Oh, Prue she has a patient man,
And Joan a gentle lover,
And Agatha's Arth' is a hug-the-hearth,—
But my true love's a rover!

From the Word Reference dictionary on "hearth":
3 this part of a fireplace as a symbol of the home, etc
In contrast to the rover, the "hug-the-hearth" prefers to stay at home.
