In my language we have an idiom when something terrible happens after another one! We say that is just one hump on top of the other!
For example: You are going to the airport. You run out of gas and then you realize you have got a flat tire. When you see you have a flat tire you say oh damn! That is just a hump on top of the other one!
I found this expression in English: Double whammy.
Does it work here or should I use something else?
