Hello to all,

In my language we have an idiom when something terrible happens after another one! We say that is just one hump on top of the other!

For example: You are going to the airport. You run out of gas and then you realize you have got a flat tire. When you see you have a flat tire you say oh damn! That is just a hump on top of the other one!

I found this expression in English: Double whammy.

Does it work here or should I use something else?

"When it rains it pours / that was the last straw." The "hump" phrase won't work in English.
    When it rains it pours

I think this can also be used for good situations right? For example you are looking for a job and you get two good job offers and you don't know what to do
