I do not understan this phrase. This one written in a book that I have to translate. Please can someone explain to me what the mother does?

( I’ll make you a deal,” my mother says. “I’ll turn the posting function back on if you take down the photo.)

    In this sense, to turn something back on, means to restore it to its original condition.

    So, if she has somehow stopped the child from posting pictures to Facebook, for example, she is making a deal with the child to restore his or her ability to post photographs, in exchange for removing the photo in question.
