Hello, i'm getting a tattoo done soon, hopefully with the phrase, "I am nothing , if not potential" in french. I've tried my hand at the translation, and spoken to a french native to get it confirmed, but this is the kind of thing you really want to make sure on, so i thought i'd throw it up here as kind of a triple check :)

I am nothing, if not potential

I have:
Je ne suis rien, si ce n'est un potentiel

any confirmations or corrections would be incredibly helpful

Thanks!

Je ne suis rien, si ce n'est un potentiel

this sounds very weird ; I think it would be better to change the structure of the sentence :
"je ne suis rien, si ce n'est d'avoir du potentiel" for example

I don't think it's French, at least I doubt any native would ever say it this way... You might need to change the structure of the sentence, as your starting point is a typically English construction. Something like "Je ne suis que mon potentiel" or "Je ne suis rien d'autre que mon potentiel".
