I am very appreciative of the sensitive and compassionate approach with which I have been treated."

I have highlighted the parts of the sentence that I'm not sure about. Any suggestions are gratefully received.

Your letter looks fine! Nice job. I'm sure some people will have a sylistic suggestion or two to make, but it really is fine the way it is.

For example, I would have written, "I truly appreciate your sensitivity and compassion." But I tend to be a minimalist! This is merely a question of personal style, and there is nothing wrong with yours!
