I could've been killed had you come later.

Just a made-up sentence. I have no doubts it is grammatically correct but does it sounds logical?

    Hello Yakweds

Whether or not it sounds logical will depend on the context:). Could you tell us something about the situation in which you want to use this sentence?

PS. We don't normally contract could+have unless we're reflecting spoken dialogue. Is that what you are doing here? If so, the rather formal "had you" may be a bit incongruous.

Let's say I'm having a conversation with my friend and tell him that. I see what you mean, in spoken dialogue I should say 'I could've been killed if you had come later.' You answered perfectly, thank you.
