ou

J'ai décidé de regarder un comédie britannique pendant un moment.

    Comédie (??) -> It is more like Humorous (theatrical) play.

    ...pendant un moment --> is perhaps incorrect in this conext.

    If you want to translate in colloquial Franch, we almost never use britannique in the spoken language, but English (describing language more than country). I would say:
    J'ai décidé de regarder un DVD* de comédie anglaise pendant un moment.

    *DVD is not in the original sentence.
