I find you <to be?> a reliable person

"I find you to be a reliable person. I believe you are to be trusted. Therefore, I gladly accept your offer. "

The part which bothers me here is 'I find you to be'. Wouldn't be better if I disposed of 'find you to be' and left with 'find you a reliable person'?

    "I find that you are a reliable person." = "I find you to be a reliable person." - "I find you a reliable person."

    I don't think any variety is "better" than any other: it is a question of style and and use within context.
