  • Suposse you are in a classroom, then the teacher explain something, and would you say: I got it or I have got it?

    Hi Rafaelgan,

There are two distinct classes of answers: colloquial and what the grammar books say.

    Colloquial:
    1) present tense- I get it. I got it. I've got it. I've understood.
    2) past tense- I got it. I understood it.

    Grammatically correct:

    1) present tense- I have got it. I've got it. I've understood you. I understand.
    2) past tense- I got it. I've got it. I have got it. I've understood you. I have understood you. etc.
