Hiya!
In an episode of Cops, a man is arrested by the police after he's been trying to sell dope to some undercover cops. The police catch him and push him down. The police asks if he has any weapons. The man says "No. I'm hurt. I had a cane." Then police makes a comment saying something like "I bet you had cocaine." What does he mean with the cane? Does it mean that someone beat him up with a cane or is he saying that he had a cane in his hand (and if so, why is he telling that?). Thanks again!

  • Ah, I think I understand now. I think what the man meant to say was that he does not have any weapons, just a cane which he needed to walk with. But the policeman thought he meant cane as cocaine...not sure though.

Okay, thanks! I think you both have a point. I'm leaning towards the fact that he's saying he had a cane for walking and the police than make a funny comment referring to the fact that cane refers to cocaine. So you're both right! :)
