Hello I have a question regarding the use of gerunds in sentences like ''I had/got a fishing hook piercing through my foot'' and ''I had wind blowing on my head''
    are these sentences correct?

I took "had" to mean something like "possessed" or "was experiencing", not something like "caused".
I suddenly noticed that I had (or had got) a fishing hook sticking into my foot :tick:sounds OK to me.
I had wind blowing through my hair. :tick:
