What is the meaning of this sentence:" I had hardly left the room when I heard someone calling my name"?Does it mean: I had not left the room when I heard someone calling my name or does it mean I had just left my room when I heard someone calling my name?

You had only just left the room. You were still so close to the room that it was almost as if you had not yet left.
