I have been busy, but I am not as busy as before.

I want to tell my friends that "I have been busy recently, but now I have finished what I was trying to do and I am not as busy as before."
Is there a better way to say the above sentence? Thanks.

I think I'd say something like "Now that I've finished [name of the task / what I was working on] I'm not as busy as I was"

I've been busy, but not as busy as I had been.
