How do you translate this expression into Italian?

In response to the question: Have you heard from your friends?

Response: "I have heard nothing at all from them."

Or: "I have not heard anything from them."

    What, if any, difference in meaning is there between "Non li ho più sentiti" and "Non ho sentito niente di loro"

    "Non li ho più sentiti" I have heard nothing at all from them
    "Non ho sentito niente di loro" I have heard nothing at all about them (that is, from other people or friends), but it is more correct "Non ho avuto alcuna notizia di loro"
