Hi.

Which sound more natural, and which is grammatically correct:

" I have never seen her wear or use what I gave her." or " I have never seen her wear or use what I had given her?"

Situation:
I have a good friend and I have given her presents over the years.

Or, if you have a better idea of how to say this, please let me know.

    Both sound unnatural to me, the second in particular. I'd suggest "I have never seen her wear or use what I have given her" followed by " I never saw her wear or use what I gave her".
