Hi all!
A friend of mine will go to Italy this month as "Erasmus" and I want to encourage her by sending a message. I would like to write it in Italian, but I don't know Italian. My question is : could you translate this simple text?

"We're going to spend this year without you in Cáceres, but I hope you enjoy Italy and learn a lot of things (especially Italian) in L'Aquila, be happy!!"

Maybe you'll be able to understand Spanish, the translation in Spanish is :

"Vamos a pasar este año sin ti en Cáceres, pero espero que disfrutes de Italia y aprendas muchas cosas (especialmente italiano) en L'Aquila, sé feliz!!"

I'll wait for your answers!!

  • "Passeremo quest'anno a Cáceres senza di te, ma spero che tu ti diverta in Italia e impari un sacco di cose (soprattutto l'italiano) a L'Aquila, stai bene!!"

This is slightly on the colloquial site. Be happy would translate 'sii felice', but it sounds rather emphatic in Italian.

    Others will have other suggestions
    Cheers

Hola... vivo en l'aquila, dile q me contacte si necesita algo.

    Adios, besos

'sii felice' is effectively too empathic for the spoken language, but "stai bene" is not correct anyway... you can either say: "stammi bene" or "divertiti". The second one means "have fun" and I think it is the most appropriate.

    Bye bye!
