大家好!

I play tennis but I don't have a very good serve. (I probably don't use the proper technique!) I want to say "I need to work on my serve." in Chinese. Would this be "我因该/需要致力于我的发球"? (Feel free to change this completely! It doesn't have to be 直译)

Thanks!

  • For me, rephrasing to "我需要多练练发球。" or "我需要在发球上多下点功夫。" makes it more colloquial. "致力于" is all right in the right cicumstances. It's used in a way similar to "committed to/dedicated to".

Oh, I'd forgotten about that thread. Thanks, Sanchuan!

    应该, not 因该
    致力于我的发球 is unidiomatic.
致力于 + verb + some greater cause. :tick: e.g. 致力于研发新产品 致力于提升人民生活水平
