Dear all,

When you make tea, you pour some hot water in the tea pot.
Would you say "I poured some hot water in the tea pot" to describe that, or would you not bother to say "hot"?

Any comments would be appreciated.

I think that this comes down to personal preference, I hear a lot of people saying "hot water" and a lot of others saying "water"...
Personally I don't use either, I avoid the issue (not actively) by saying "refill the teapot"...

    :)
