May I ask how we say at the beginning of an email:

I refer to Khalid's email below.

(I checked whether there was a previous post on this forum, but to my surprise it has not been raised before. Oh I think it will be a wonderful time when we can use the search function and type whatever term we like, and the post appears! I can't wait for this day, which will come soon insha'allah ;)).

Perhaps you want to say :

أحيلك / أحيلكم إلى رسالة خالد الإليكترونية لاحقاً

( that is : I refer you to Khalid's email below)

بالإشارة إلى رسالة خالد الإليكترونية أدناه

    ( Referring to Khalid's email below )

    Waiting for another suggestions!!

Without further context (hint, hint ;)), I would suggest أشير إلى رسالة خالد الإلكترونية الموجودة أدناه or أشير لاحقًا إلى رسالة خالد الإلكترونية, depending on what is meant by "below."

    Many thanks guys.

I love the phrase: أشير إلى رسالة [فلان] الإلكترونية الموجودة أدناه and will be able to use it as a nice template when starting emails.

The common expression used in Egyptian -official- correspondance is the one given by Haroon: بالإشارة إلى رسالة [فلان] أدناه or الواردة أدناه .

    Yes, الموجودة is not necessary.

Whether it should be بالإشارة or أشير depends on the context, I think.

OK I have taken the hint. ;)

The context is simply referring to a lawyer's email who has sent me an internal email message promising to provide documents.
