i know that A sentence is correct

but I heard B was a sentence used in the past

Was the B sentence used in the old days?

    No, it makes no sense.

    As a phrase within a longer construction it could possibly work, but not as a sentence in its own right.

    Perhaps rarely, in older poetry. Certainly not today. You might hear something like "I saw a girl beautiful as a spring day."
