    The answer is No. :):) Snakes can't climb ladders because I think you need legs, but I suppose they can slither up one.


    I don't see a difference between I suppose or I suppose so, except maybe a distrinct lack of interest or caring in the second one. I suppose seems a bit more upbeat.

    To my archaic ears, the first version, "I suppose," is incomplete. What do you suppose?
    "I suppose <that it is> so," doesn't suffer from that problem.
