I twisted my neck when I had a nap this afternoon. So I got a ________.

Hi,
Do you have a term for the above? We have, so I try to find the English counterpart, but alas, I'm not knowledgeable enough.
So please help if you know the word?
Thanks.

    Thanks again, my friends.
A cricked neck or a crick in the neck is closer to our counterpart.

"A crick in my neck" is probably the best way of expressing it. Do NOT use torticollis unless you want to ostracise yourself.

Colloquially, a "stiff neck" or a "crick in the neck" are both correct. "Torticollis" is a medical term; save that for the doctor's office.
