I want to be expressive.

I've always thought the word expressive would be noun; it's actually an adjective.

Why is this the case?

Shouldn't it be:

I want to be [noun]?
  • london calling

It's definitely an adjective. By the way, why would you want to use a noun only after 'I want to be...'?

I want to be rich, content, happily married, etc.

I want to be a policeman, a model, a politician, etc.
