I wonder why the next dialogue is funny.

Daughter: What was it about Daddy that you were attracted to, Mom?
Mother: I thought he was handsome and charming and intelligent and caring and funny.
Father: And respects your privacy.
Mother: Oh, yes, there's that, too.

    It's (supposedly) funny because we didn't at first realise that the husband was listening in behind the door. So when he reveals himself and interrupts with 'and respects your privacy!', we learn that he has been listening in and then we see that he is performatively undermining his own words. (funny now?)

    Mother: Oh, yes, there's that, too.
    The humor in a cartoon usually depends on the drawing.  If you have a question about a cartoon, you should describe the picture.  (And you should name the source.)  

    In this particular case, the link you gave apparently works for other people, but it does not work for me. I have to sign in to something. That is another reason to include a description with your question, so  that everyone will have the information needed to answer your question.
