Hello teachers,
Context:
A: What would you do if you won the lottery?
B: (If I won the lottery,) I would travel around the world for a year.

Question:
Am I using "would" in the answer because I'm expressing a desire, an hypothesis, or both of them?

Thanks in advance.

In this sentence, it is hypothetical, not desire.

B says if he wins the lottery, he will travel the world for a year (not just want to).
