Hello,
I've been trying to explain the peculiar american restaurant known as the ice cream parlour (some times called a soda fountain), and I was wondering if there is a french word or phrase which can be used to describe this? To call it a cafe would not describe it, and I'm just unsure how to get across my meaning. Does any one have some insight on this?

Thank you! That was just what I needed. Glacerie! So logical! It makes perfect sense in my composition.

Ok, so un glacier is more normal to say in day to day French then? I'll change out glacerie for glacier. Many thanks!
