I was wondering if this meant 'I am there to...',

z.B. Ich bin dazu da, die Kinder zur richtigen Zeit an den richtigen Ort zu bringen.

I'm reading some German short stories and exam papers in preparation for exams :) Danke im Voraus!

Ich verstehe das im Sinne von "es ist meine Aufgabe".

Literally "dazu" means here "for this purpose": "I am there for this purpose ".

    Welcome, thecomfyairchair.

Yes, as you suspected, given that it means "es ist meine Aufgabe (grafkoks)," then a possible translation into English could be "I am there to bring the children to the right place at the right time" (with the same sense of "task").

In American English, I'd say "It's my job to ..."
