    Was für einen Unterschied gibt es dazwischen ?

    In this example, mir just makes explicit what is implicit in the version without mir: that I am affected by what I see.

    You might think that it's not worth noting such an obvious point. But spoken German is very insistent on noting that sort of thing, and it carries over into written German as well.

    Reflexivformen habe oft zusätzliche Bedeutungen:

    Ich werde das ansehen = I will look at that (watch it, point my eyes towards it).
    Ich werde mir das ansehen = I will look into that (investigate it).
