New investors may well pay more for your shares if the non-exec team is good and have made the right decision to let you go; then the prospects of the business will be stronger and new investors should be identifiable. If not, then the claim of the non-executives that you are rubbish and should leave is evidently somewhat weak. All you can do is put it down to their own weaknesses and move on.

It is from the book "100 rules for entrepreneurs" and I don't understand the bolded part. Please help me. Here you are the entrepreneur who is about to be ousted by the non-exec team and you can sell your shares to them.

    It means that you should be able to find new investors easily; it will not be difficult to find people willing to invest their money (or often someone else's money!).
