Hey guys I was wondering is it grammatically correct to say if i could have been able to go to New York then I would have been happy.

    The thing is that "could/can" and "be able to" are kindof the same thing, so you're a bit redundant.

    Try "If I could've gone to NY, then I would've been happy."
