well...I am stuck on the verb 'to email' and also on how to say 'for ages'

This is my attempt so far:

Si ça fait une éternité que je ne vous envoie rien

What do you think?

...si je reste longtemps sans t'écrire / sans t'envoyer d'e-mail...

That was the first translation that came to mind when I saw the thread title, and I might improve on it if I had any context : I have no idea how it connects with the rest of your sentence.

I'm sorry! The rest of the sentence (in english is)

If I don't email you for ages, it will be because I am in Devon with some friends for most of the Summer.

Si je ne vous envoie rien pendant une éternité... would sound even more natural to me.
Argyll's suggestions are very good too.

Another idiomatic expression would be: donner signe de vie

Si je ne donne pas signe de vie par mail/courriel
