If I win with on this lottery ticket

Senior Member

If I win 1000 000 zlotys on this lottery ticket, I will share the prize with you.

I think I can use the preposition 'on'. Am I right?

I'd also say "in the lottery" — though I don't know why, because you win money "on the football pools", "on the horses", "on the dogs", "on a TV game show".

On the other hand, you win it "in a competition", "in the office draw". I can't see a clear pattern.

But yes, for "lottery ticket" I'd definitely say "with".
