Hello,

Could you help me, please?

Is ikişer ikişer yürüyen öğrenciler a riddle? And why is it associated with the word crocodile, but the translation is students walking in pairs?

    Hello, this is not a riddle. In schools the movement of children in pairs is called "crocodile formation".

    The equivalent of this expression in Turkish is given literally in the dictionary.

    Is it like this... ?
    ikişer ikişer
    = two by two (where iki means two)
    yürüyen = walking
    öğrenciler = students

    I've found this thread about "crocodile formation". I added it here, maybe it would be useful for other users.
    It was invented also the "walkodile".
