I'll see you later vs. I'll see you later on

What is the difference between the sentences below??? To me they bear the same concept.

I'll see you later.
I'll see you later on.

And also what is the difference between the phrases below?

16 years on
16 years later

    "I'll see you later" and "I'll see you later on" mean the same thing to me.
    "I'll see you later" is what I say and hear more often.

    You should probably open a separate thread for "16 years on" and "16 years later (and include them in complete sentences).:)
